About

Cheese World is the cellar door for the Warrnambool Cheese and Butter (WCB) Factory. They offer free tastings and sales of the award-winning Warrnambool Heritage Cheddar, Cracker Barrel, Mil Lel and Coon cheese varieties produced across the road in the factory. WCB was established in 1888 and has become a major contributor to the local economy.

Enjoy lunch and light refreshments in the licenced cafe – including their famous Sungold milkshakes. Cheese platters and Ploughman’s Lunches are a specialty.

Unfortunately, factory tours are not on the menu due to safety restrictions however they do offer insights on the cheese making process through their expert staff.

Cheese World’s passion is the local dairy industry and promoting locally made cheese, wine and gourmet products from the region. Why not drop in on your way to the Great Ocean Road and sample some of the region’s finest produce?

The Cheese World Museum showcases a wide collection of artifacts, photos and personal items belonging to early local dairy farming families as well as the history of the WCB factory.

Cheese World is on the Great Ocean Road at Allansford just 15 kilometres from Warrnambool.
