About

The stables were established in 1880 as a carting business and horse and buggy hiring service by Dutch immigrant William Geldhoff. He built large basalt stables and was later taken over by his sons. Following the introduction of the motor car, the Geldhoff’s ran the town’s first school bus service to and from Warrnambool. In order to accommodate the bus, the interior stabling was removed.

Presently, The Koroit Stables is now a remarkable and unique event venue that hosts small and large groups. The Koroit Stables is a venue that display a modern rustic flare mixed with elegance. Becoming a ‘one stop shop’ where you can host your wedding ceremony on-site and enjoy your reception a couple of steps away. You can relax knowing that their staff will assist you in making your dream day a reality.
