As you venture deeper into the Great Ocean Road region make sure Port Fairy is on your list to places to stop and stay a while.

Checking in at Yambuk is your chance to check out of the hustle and bustle. This is your moment to take a breath, relax and soak up the calming atmosphere. Fish at Yambuk Lake for that well deserved stillness or for the more adventurous explorer head along to the giant Yambuk slide!
Nestled amongst a crater lake, lava canals, caves and bushland, Budj Bim National Park is a must-stop destination in Greatopia. Set up a picnic, camp or walk the region to fully experience the nature and when you’re ready to wind down with some local produce, check out Macarthur General Store or warm your soul with a wine tasting at Suffoir Winery.
Rich in nature, Mortlake is at the foot of a dormant volcano, only a short journey from Port Fairy. Home to Mt Shadwell and Tea Tree Lake, this is your opportunity to experience the heritage and culture that comes with this small town. And while you’re there, be sure to eat like the locals and check out Clarkes Pies, you won’t regret it!
Whilst you’re on that journey of cultural immersion, stop off in Peterborough to catch a glimpse of London Bridge, a landmark rock formation with an interesting history.
It’s here also that you can head to The Bay of Martys for its spectacular views, you may even spot a shipwreck but if you’re more inclined to set out to sea yourself, launch a kayak at the Bay of Islands Coastal Park.
