The Overwintering Project: Mapping Sanctuary”, is a turning exhibition of prints relating to migratory shore birds. It was established in 2018, by Kate Gorringe-Smith a renowned artist and printmaker. It continues to growing and evolving at each location that it is shown. The Exhibition seeks to raise awareness for the migratory shorebirds and their habitat by inviting artists to help make them visible.

The exhibition features prints that focus on shorebirds and their overwintering habitats in Australia and New Zealand. this exhibition has visited over 40 other locations in Australia and New Zealand and is continually being added to as each location that is visits adds their local touch.

In Port Fairy showing of “Over Wintering” will include an exhibition of local artist bird paining and prints.
